At the table, a rainbow of colors and creative combinations stimulate the appetite.
The palette is immediately kissed by the goodness and deliciousness of the dishes.
The diishes respect the tradition of the generous Friulian land. But there is also room for the "new age" kitchen.
The wine list offers wines from the Friuli region together with some of the best the wines from the European wineries.
In 2011, the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Handicraft and Agriculture of Udine awarded the restaurant with the recognition of "Qui si mangia friulano" ("Here Friulian food is being served" ) label.
The dining room is pleasantly heated by a cozy fireplace in the cold months, while in the summer it`s posible to find refresment on the beautiful terrace.
The used produce is strictly fresh and seasonal and the dishes are all freshly prepared. So in the spring it will be easy to find dishes based on asparagus and wild herbs, while in autumn there will be dishes based on forest mushrooms, pumpkin and chestnuts. Finally, in winter, pork and wild are bein honoured in the delicious recipes.
All desserts are homemade.
From May to October (periods of opening of the mountain huts) their local produce such as local cheeses and ricotta are used.
In short, there is room for all seasons: Warm and welcoming in the winter; fresh and inviting during the summer.
Most requested specialties:
Cjarsons, Tagliolini with mushrooms, Straccetti on a bed of rocket, Potato frico, homemade desserts.
Tasting menu is available at the fair price of only 28 euro.

How to reach us
From the highway A23: from the north exit at the toll booth of Tarvisio or Pontebba; from the south exit at Gemona del Friuli or Carnia.
Take State Road 13 "Pontebbana" and follow the signs for Udine or Tarvisio, depending on the origin, until the entrance to Moggio Udinese. At the entrance to the village go straight up to the Town Hall and then turn right to reach the Locanda (about 500 meters from the State Road).
